Long-tailed Tit posing beautifully on an old fence post. Quite a bit different than most of my Long-tailed Tit images, but a real favourite that makes a beautiful print.
Long-tailed Tits are basically ridiculously cute flying teaspoons. This tiny Woodland and Hedgerow bird weighs just 9g and makes beautiful domed nests out of moss which it disguises with cobwebs and lines with as many as 1500 feathers! In winter they gather in flocks and can be regular garden visitors.
