Although common in the south, the Broad-bodied Chaser is extremely rare in Scotland. This freshly emerged male is one of just a small handful of confirmed Scottish records, and I feel deeply privileged to have seen it. It’s perched on a pondside Bluebell with a background of Buttercups.
