A wee Long-tail, bracing itself in gusty winds. I often look at them and think they look like they really shouldn’t be out on their own!
Long-tailed Tits are basically ridiculously cute flying teaspoons. This tiny Woodland and Hedgerow bird weighs just 9g and makes beautiful domed nests out of moss which it disguises with cobwebs and lines with as many as 1500 feathers! In winter they gather in flocks and can be regular garden visitors.
