Banded Demoiselles are large, wonderfully irridescent Damselflies that favour bodies of slow-moving, deep water. Extremely active and flighty in sunny conditions, they are an absolute delight to watch. This individual was photographed on a glorious Summer’s morning, the rising sun imparting a wonderfully rich golden hue to the surface of the water.
